I'm posting at iapetusbeat.com, using blogspot and feedburner. Under Manage Posts and view All I can see the posts but they're listed as No Citation. I followed the instructions, pasted the code into the HTML editor, and it shows up fine on my site.
I'm sure this comes up often but I don't see any other discussion categories that fit exactly. After posting, I usually have to go back to edit and change the font size on my figure captions, which I do in the visual mode (for some reason blogspot makes all the font the same size when I add anything, including the citation code, but that's an issue for another forum). Is this later editing the problem?
On Blogger, if you go into Settings --> Basic, you can specify using the Old editor (near the bottom of the page). This should eliminate the problem (although obviously you don't get the features of the Updated editor).
At this point you will either need to regenerate the citations on ResearchBlogging.org or go into HTML mode and add class="Z3988" immediately after the <span element of your citation. So each citation should begin with
<span class="Z3988" title="ctx_ver=Z39.88
If you're not comfortable with HTML you might be better off just regenerating the citations on our site.
I will pursue this with the folks at Blogger and see if we can get them to fix the problem with their updated editor.
I'm having a similar issue trying to import old posts. About half of them imported just fine, but several are showing up as no citation, even though the citation html is there. I'm using a self-hosted WP install (http://www.freethinkersasylum.com). Any ideas why some posts will import and others won't?
Geknitics, can you give me some links to the posts that aren't working? It's hard for me to troubleshoot without specific examples. Might be best to just email me at dsmunger@gmail.com
